George Bernard Shaw An Anniversary Tribute

UNTIL DECEMBER 2006

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of playwright, George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950), whose bequest to the Gallery in 1950 has made him the institution's most generous financial benefactor. This in-focus show, presented in the form of a series of documentary panels and portraits, examines Shaw's relationship to the Gallery from an early age, his work as a music critic and his support of the Hugh Lane pictures.

An accompanying illustrated brochure is available from the Gallery Shop.
