Begonia Blossom

Raheny, Dublin

This blossom was originally part of the group in the bottom left of the picture which were in a hanging pot on the back wall. The blossom was beaten by rain and blown by wind and became detached from its stem. It would have blown away but for being caught in a spider's web filament. This is a moment suspended between life and death.
